The actor has been involved in the construction of more than a hundred facilities for the less fortunate in China

Hong Kong actor Louis Koo has been secretly doing charitable work in China for the past three years. He has been involved in the construction of schools, medical clinics and other facilities catering to the less fortunate.
Since 2009, Louis has reportedly aided in the funding of the construction of 49 schools, 20 clinics and 50 water cellars, enabling less fortunate children to receive an education.
According to reports, the actor started the Louis Koo Charitable Foundation after the earthquake in Sichuan, China in 2008. The destruction caused by the disaster caused the children to be unable to attend school, spurring him to help.
Volunteers of the foundation visit different areas monthly to understand if they are lacking any facilities and concurrently monitor the situation at the sites, ensuring that the funds are only used to benefit the less fortunate.
When asked to comment about his activities, Louis declined to elaborate and only commented, “I will continue doing my part as long as I have the ability to do so.”
