The good-looker was in town to launch SK-II MEN’s range of products in Singapore and shared his skincare tips with us
Asia’s first supermodel Godfrey Gao has one more achievement to add to his already impressive list – being the newest face of SK-II MEN.
It’s hard to believe that this man has gone through awkward stages in his life, but the Taiwanese-Canadian candidly shared that he had his ugly duckling moments – during his teenage years he was affected by skin problems which only got better after proper treatment.
SK-II introduced its first men’s prestige skincare range in Singapore, SK-II MEN and brand ambassador Godfrey was in town for its launch and xinmsn caught up with the hunk at the event.
Godfrey shared that he “has done previous work with SK-II’s women’s range” and “kept his fingers crossed” when the company asked him to be their new face and was “really happy” when he sealed the deal.
In fact, the 28-year-old’s good skin is his mum’s fruit of labour.
He shared that his mother used to work for a skincare company, and would bring various products home to try. From a tender age, Godfrey would go through the motions of proper skincare with his mother, who taught him the ropes.
He quipped, “When I was little, about 12 or 13 years-old, I’d come home from school then she would be greeting me when her face was all green”.
Godfrey added that his mum was “really proud of me and really happy” when he was chosen to be the brand ambassador.
