Air China Canada office on the 26th announced that Air China has been carrying Chinese citizens issued by the Government of Canada visa-free transit business license. Since February 1, 2012, Chinese citizens aboard Air China Beijing – Vancouver flights, hold a valid U.S. visa and connecting boarding pass to the United States, Canada transit visa-free to U.S. destinations or through the Vancouver airport.

Air Canada general manager Zhigang told Xinhua reporters that the Air is the only one to obtain permission from the Government of Canada to conduct such business in China Airlines.

It is reported by the Canadian visa-free transit permit, visitors from China to the United States at the Vancouver airport in advance by the U.S. Customs border, to reach the domestic terminal of the destination airport in the United States, and extract the Chinese domestic originating station checked baggage. To bring carry-on baggage can be avoided in advance through the outside of the U.S. Customs border entry locations in the United States in the past frequently 2-3 hours of waiting in line.

the Government of Canada hope this can be attracted to the United States of Chinese citizens to stop Canada, to increase the traffic of the Canadian airport, improve the competitiveness of the national two airports – Vancouver and Toronto International Airport, and create more employment opportunities for Canadian airports.
